Since starting aNewYorkBaby in 2014, I have learned a lot about business. And perhaps the most important thing I have learned about business, is that it's not really about business at all. There is so much more to it than selling a product to people. It's about building relationships with other parents like myself.
I had someone recently tell me that they appreciate the way I have made them feel like a member of the community, and not just a customer. And it felt so good to hear that. It made me feel like I am doing something really right.
I have had the opportunity to hear so many heart warming stories and see so many beautiful pictures. Evie's precious mermaid romper that she wore for her 1st birthday; The miracle of Jaxson and his ever so loving mother; Giving big smiles to beautiful twins Elizabeth and Kainoa.
I have been on such a journey with all of my customers... and I don't even like to use that word "customer" anymore because I feel like it is so much more than just a business relationship.
When you buy from us, you're buying from a family of 3. Our office includes a playroom, that is full of toys and books for my curious toddler. There is a barricade of USPS boxes in front of my desk, that block him from reaching my extremely important computer. We have a metal cart that we transport your orders to/from the truck with, and that is his most favorite/dangerous toy of all.
I hope this can help paint a picture of the business you are supporting, and to know that we have nothing but love for all of you.
